Testimonies

  • KaMekia

After her mother passed away unexpectedly, KaMekia and her two children became homeless. The Victorious Living Housing Program helped her find a stable home, allowing her to focus on her children's needs and future. She stresses the importance of not giving up and recommends the Victorious Living Housing Program to others who are homeless.

  • Abby

Abby escaped an abusive relationship with her daughters and found herself homeless. A friend referred her to the RFMission counseling program, where she received counseling and other support services. Abby now focuses on securing a job and getting her children back in school as she works towards independence. Despite her diagnosis of PTSD, she remains hopeful for a stable job, consistent housing, and the opportunity to return to school.

  • Lou

Lou, who is pregnant by a man of another ethic group. She has been kicked out of her parents' home due to her unmarried status and her pregnancy. Facing a bitterly cold night with nowhere to go, she finds hope through the Victorious Living Housing Program. She is grateful for the program's commitment to supporting the community and its residents.

  • Rose Marie

With support from Victorious Living staff, she has secured her own apartment and finds fulfillment through various activities. One is volunteering at the RFMission food pantry, where she translates for bilingual clients. There, she discovers joy and friendship while giving back to the community.
